One of the first choices a knight has to make is: what weapon will I choose? Do I go for club, sword or maybe axe? To help with the choice making, we decided to put two weapons of different classes against eachother to figure out their strong and weak points. Today, the battle is between a Relic Sword and an Ornamented Axe. Who will turn out to be victorious?! Both weapons are one-handed and usuable for players of level 50 or above.

As you can see for yourself, the only strong point of the Ornamented Axe, is that it has a higher shielding bonus than the Relic Sword. But apart from that and the attack value, the sword scores highest in all other categories. Important to note is that the Ornamented Axe is known to have been part of Wyrm loot. However, 2 months after the summer update of 2008, they seem to have stopped dropping it. So, for now, it's only obtainable after killing Ferumbras, and therefore very rare! So, in this battle of the weapons, we can safely say the Relic Sword has turned out victorious!
