WHY WE QUIT

As you've probably noticed, we are no-longer part of the supported fansite programme in Tibia.

We decided to leave the fansite programme and Tibia for good.

We, the few players who are behind this website, are tired of CipSoft's empty promises and terrible decisions which they've made during the past years in Tibia. It first started many years ago, when they removed the game masters from the game. This lead to an increase in botters and cheaters to roam the lands of Tibia. Shortly after, they implemented the "automatic ban system" which would prevent botters from playing. But it is obvious that their automatic ban system does not work properly. In fact, it does barely work at all. In today's Tibia there are more botters than ever before. Yet CipSoft keep promising us, the players, that they will get rid of them. And they have continued to say this for around 7 years now. We are tired of hearing empty promises. We demand more action and responsibility in this subject.

They say thousands of accounts are getting deleted every month, but still the top lists remain the same. It is a very slim chance that a high-level will get deleted. And by the time a high-level (400, 500+) gets deleted, he/she has already caused too much damage to the game. From what we can see, the only botters that actively get deleted are mainly spammers or casino botters. We demand more action taken against high-levels.

Another issue is the continuous problems with network issues. I know that we simply cannot blame CipSoft if they get DDoS-attacked or whatever. But what they can do, is fix their compensation system. Dying and losing hours, days or even weeks of playing is nothing anyone enjoys. A lot of the players in Tibia even resort to the use of proxies or VPNs in order to only be able to play the game. This is ridiculous. CipSoft has to fix their network routing. A player should not be required to use a proxy in order to play the game lag-free. All it takes is a 10 second freeze to even kill the highest level in this game. The amount of time and work that is put in to the leveling, only to be thrown away upon dying by a kick is outrageous.

Lastly, the game has in recent times seriously become a pay-to-win game. Many of you might say it has always been that since the introduction of premium accounts. But lately, CipSoft has taken extreme measures in to making Tibia a pay-to-win game. Everywhere you look, you will see a reminder of purchasing premium, outfits, mounts or other cosmetics. You can't even open the "Outfit"-window without seeing two buttons that leads to the store. And they recently annoucned they will implement XP Boosting packages for Tibia Coins. If that is not extreme pay-to-win, then I don't know what is. CipSoft has continuously ignored their customers and keep implementing this bullshit stuff that the majority hates. They spend more time implementing cute little mounts and outfits, instead of fixing the botting and network issues. We are aware of that they do not belong in same department, but they clearly show what their priority is. They spend more resources on adding cosmetics and more pay-to-win shit than adding good content in to the game and fixing their biggest issues.

There are many more failures they have made in Tibia the last decade. Adding soul points, adding automatic hotkeys, adding offline trainers and a bunch of other things. It is their way of fighting against botters. They simply cannot stop the botters. So what to they do? They make the game easier for them.

"If you can't beat it, join it!"

There are more reasons as to why we decide to leave the fansite programme and Tibia. One of them is that Rookgaard is completely dead. We simply do not see a reason to keep this website up and running. The amount of active rookstayers is extremely low. Since the introduction of Dawnport, Rookgaard has become a deserted island. It is close to completely empty on almost all worlds. A few years ago, the island would be filled with newcomers and rookstayers.

Tibia is not the same game anymore. We cannot support Tibia or CipSoft anymore, and we'd be lying if we said we do. Tibia has gone downhill for the past decade, and we all know it. Just look at the amount of players online. Wonder how many of them are actually manual players. RIP Tibia 1997-2016. It's time to move on. Our website will still be up and running for the time being. Click the button below to be taken to our website.
