Flying from Tucson International Airport (TUS) with Qatar Airways turned out to be an unexpectedly easy and enjoyable trip. With carry-ons, I particularly appreciated the Qatar Airways TUS Terminal navigational simplicity, modernity, and cleanliness as well as its minimalist walking needed and clear signage. Check-in was fast and easy; the Qatar Airways staff were friendly, competent, and really helpful; all of my inquiries were answered with a grin. Security lines moved faster than anticipated, and the TSA personnel were friendly. Once past security, a few good food and beverage choices existed to unwind prior to the trip. Boarding was superbly organized, and Qatar's diligence in detail became evident at every stage. The gate personnel ensured we were well-informed and that everything ran on schedule. Still not a huge international hub, TUS offers a first-rate experience when combined with Qatar Airways' flight. The entire experience seemed seamless, which prepared one for a relaxing trip ahead. If flying overseas from Tucson, Qatar Airways at TUS provides a simple start with great ground-up service.
